Chitrakaghrta is a medicated ghee formulation primarily used to stimulate digestion, reduce inflammation, and support liver function.
Purpose
To improve digestion and alleviate abdominal disorders.

Adult dose
5-10 grams.
Pediatric dose
2.5-5 ml
Preparation steps
- Gather all the ingredients required for the formulation.
- Clean and prepare the herbs.
- Take the specified quantity of Chitrak and other herbs as per the formulation.
- Prepare a decoction (kwatha) of the herbs.
- Filter the decoction to remove any solid particles.
- Add ghee to the decoction.
- Heat the mixture on a low flame, stirring continuously.
- Continue heating until all the water content evaporates and only the ghee remains.
- Allow the ghee to cool down.
- Filter the ghee through a clean cloth to remove any remaining herbal residue.
- Store the Chitrakaghrta in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
