Four Fats (Chatur-Sneha)

Snehana (oleation) for Vistraavana (bloodletting) and Shodhana (purification) in the case of unripe Granthi (nodules).

Modern description

Chatur-Sneha, or Four Fats, is a potent combination of Ghee, Oil, Muscle Fat, and Marrow used for oleation, particularly in cases of unripe Granthi (nodules) prior to bloodletting and purification therapies. It is used in Snehana Karma, a preparatory procedure in Panchakarma for detoxification.
