A medicated oil containing sandalwood, used to treat abdominal tumors and reduce inflammation, promoting tissue repair.

- Skin diseases (Kushtha), burning sensation (Daha), bleeding disorders (Rakta Pitta), fever (Jwara), poisoning (Visha), headache, improves skin complexion.

- Water for decoction - 3.072 liters
- boiled and reduced to 768 ml
- Sesame oil - 768 ml
- Cow milk - 768 ml
Adult dose
For external use only. Apply liberally on the affected area or as directed by an Ayurvedic physician.
Pediatric dose
For external application only. Use with caution on sensitive skin.
Preparation steps
- Soak all dry herbs and boil them in water to extract their water-soluble active compounds.
- Simmer the decoction until it reduces to about one-fourth of its original volume.
- Make a fine paste with some of the herbs (like sandalwood, vetiver, manjistha) using water or the decoction itself.
- Use coconut oil or sesame oil as the base oil for the taila.
- Combine the decoction, herbal paste, and base oil and cook them slowly over a low flame.
