Bala Taila is given to women for specific gynecological conditions, and Mishraka or Sukumaraka oil can be used as alternatives.

Adult dose
5-10 ml orally, or as directed by an Ayurvedic physician. Can also be used for external application/massage.
Pediatric dose
Dosage should be determined by an Ayurvedic physician based on the child's age, weight, and health condition.
Preparation steps
- Gather all the necessary ingredients as per the formulation.
- Clean and prepare the herbs for decoction.
- Prepare a decoction (Kashaya) using specific herbs as per classical reference.
- Filter the decoction to remove any solid particles.
- Add Bala Kalka (paste of Bala herb) to the sesame oil.
- Heat the sesame oil and add the filtered decoction.
- Cook the mixture over a low flame until all the water content evaporates and only the oil remains.
- Filter the oil through a clean cloth.
- Allow the oil to cool down completely.
- Store the oil in a clean, airtight container away from direct sunlight and moisture.
Safety contraindications
- Not recommended for use during acute fever or diarrhea.
