Indications
- Bahalavartma is traditionally used for treating thickening of the eyelids (Bahalavartma), stye (Anjananamika), and other minor eye disorders characterized by swelling, redness, and discharge. May be used topically for Vranas (wounds) as well.

- Shuddha Gairika - 1 part
- Haritaki - 1 part
- Bibhitaki - 1 part
- Amalaki - 1 part
- Daruharidra - 1 part
- Madhu - Quantity Sufficient
Adult dose
A small quantity (approximately 1-2 grams) applied locally to the affected area of the eyelid or as directed by an Ayurvedic physician.
Pediatric dose
Not recommended for children without consulting an Ayurvedic physician.
Preparation steps
- Collect all the ingredients as per the formulation.
- Dry the herbal ingredients under shade to remove moisture.
- Powder each ingredient separately using a clean grinder.
- Sieve each powder through a fine mesh to ensure uniformity.
- Mix all the powdered ingredients in the specified proportions.
- Store the mixture in an airtight container away from moisture and direct sunlight.
