Preparation steps
- Collection of raw materials: Procure all the ingredients as per the formulation.
- Cleaning and processing: Clean and process the raw materials to remove any impurities.
- Preparation of Kashaya: Prepare a decoction (Kashaya) with specified herbs.
- Addition of sugar/jaggery: Add sugar or jaggery to the Kashaya and heat it to form a syrup consistency.
- Addition of other ingredients: Add the remaining ingredients in fine powder form.
- Mixing: Mix all the ingredients thoroughly until a homogenous mixture is obtained.
- Consistency check: Check the consistency of the Avaleha.
- Cooling and storage: Allow the Avaleha to cool down and then store it in airtight containers.
Safety contraindications
- Pregnancy, lactation, and in individuals with uncontrolled diabetes or acute infections.
