Arishta preparations used for cleansing the channels, specifically in cases of Kapha Gulma (abdominal lump due to Kapha).

Digestive disorders, respiratory ailments, weakness, anemia, cough, piles, inflammatory conditions, and specific conditions based on the herbs used (e.g., Dashamoolarishta for post-partum care and Vata disorders, Ashwagandharishta for weakness and nerve disorders).

Typically consists of herbs
jaggery
honey
Dhataki flowers
and water. The specific ingredients and their quantities vary greatly depending on the desired therapeutic effect. A standard ratio might involve several parts of herbs to jaggery
honey
and water. For example
a formula might use 1 part coarsely powdered herbs
4 parts jaggery
2 parts honey
and 16 parts water.

15-30 ml (approximately 1-2 tablespoons) once or twice daily.

Collection of raw materials: Authenticate and procure all the ingredients.
Preparation of Kashaya: Prepare a decoction (kashaya) of the prescribed herbs.
Addition of Guda/Sharkara: Add jaggery or sugar as specified in the formulation.
Sandhana (Fermentation): Transfer the mixture to a fermentation vessel, usually made of wood or earthenware.
Addition of Prakshepaka Dravyas: Add the prakshepaka dravyas (the powdered herbs) at the specified time, usually at the end of the fermentation process.
Sealing and Incubation: Seal the vessel and allow fermentation to occur in a warm place for the specified period (typically 15-30 days).
Monitoring Fermentation: Monitor the fermentation process by observing the frothing and the change in smell.
Filtration: After completion of fermentation, filter the Arishta.
Storage: Store the Arishta in clean, airtight containers in a cool, dry place.
