Aragvadhendgava is an Ayurvedic formulation likely used in the management of fevers and inflammatory conditions through internal consumption, anointing and external application.

Purpose

To be used for drinking, anointing, and application as paste.

Preparation steps

• Gather all the ingredients of Aragvadhadi Taila.
• Clean and dry the herbs.
• Coarsely powder the solid herbal ingredients.
• Prepare a decoction (Kashaya) using specified amount of water.
• Filter the decoction to remove any solid particles.
• Add the herbal paste (Kalka) to the decoction.
• In a separate vessel, heat the base oil (e.g., sesame oil).
• Slowly add the decoction and herbal paste to the oil.
• Maintain a gentle simmer and stir continuously.
• Continue heating until all the water content evaporates and only the oil remains.
• Filter the oil through a clean cloth.
• Allow the oil to cool down.
• Store the Aragvadhadi Taila in a tightly sealed container, away from sunlight and moisture.

Safety contraindications

• Severe kidney disease, acute infections.
