Preparation steps
- Gather all the ingredients of Aragvadhadi Taila.
- Clean and dry the herbs.
- Coarsely powder the solid herbal ingredients.
- Prepare a decoction (Kashaya) using specified amount of water.
- Filter the decoction to remove any solid particles.
- Add the herbal paste (Kalka) to the decoction.
- In a separate vessel, heat the base oil (e.g., sesame oil).
- Slowly add the decoction and herbal paste to the oil.
- Maintain a gentle simmer and stir continuously.
- Continue heating until all the water content evaporates and only the oil remains.
- Filter the oil through a clean cloth.
- Allow the oil to cool down.
- Store the Aragvadhadi Taila in a tightly sealed container, away from sunlight and moisture.
Safety contraindications
- Severe kidney disease, acute infections.
