Preparation steps
- Collect all the necessary ingredients as per the formulation mentioned in the reference text.
- Authenticate the raw materials by an expert of Dravyaguna department.
- Wash and clean the herbs to remove any dirt or impurities.
- Prepare a coarse powder of the herbal ingredients.
- Take the specified quantity of ghee in a stainless steel vessel.
- Add the herbal powder to the ghee.
- Add water (usually four times the quantity of ghee) to the mixture.
- Heat the mixture on a low flame, stirring continuously.
- Continue heating until all the water evaporates and the ghee is properly infused with the herbs.
- Monitor the 'Paka' (cooking stages) carefully to avoid burning.
- Once the ghee is prepared, allow it to cool.
- Filter the ghee through a clean muslin cloth to remove any solid particles.
- Store the prepared Ajita Ghrita in an airtight container, away from direct sunlight.
