Preparation steps

• The specified herbs are taken and made into a paste or decoction.
• Sesame oil is taken as the base.
• The paste/decoction is added to the oil.
• The mixture is heated until all the water content evaporates, leaving behind the oil infused with the herbs.
• For Shatapaka Taila, this process is repeated one hundred times, each time using a fresh batch of the herbal paste/decoction.
