Purpose
To make nourishing and cool water.
Indications
- General debility, emaciation, cough, dyspnea, burning sensation, Vata disorders, Pitta disorders, infertility, to promote strength and immunity.

- Balya (strengthening), Vatahara (alleviates Vata), Pittahara (alleviates Pitta), Rasayana (rejuvenative), Shukrala (increases semen)

Adult dose
48-96ml (decoction) or 3-6 grams (powder) twice a day
Pediatric dose
10-25 ml, based on age and digestive strength
Preparation steps
- Collect all the ingredients of Vidaryadi Gana.
- Clean, dry and coarsely powder each ingredient separately.
- Mix all the ingredients in specified proportion.
- Boil the mixture with 16 times water until it reduces to one-fourth.
- Filter the decoction using a muslin cloth.
- The resulting liquid is Vidaryadi Kashayam.
Safety contraindications
- Not recommended for individuals with known allergies to any of the ingredients. Avoid in conditions with excessive Kapha.
