Adult dose
Decoction: 50-100ml, once or twice daily. Powder: 3-6 grams, once or twice daily. Tablets/Capsules: As directed by physician.
Pediatric dose
As needed for external application (adjust based on age and sensitivity)
Preparation steps
- Clean and dry-roast the roots lightly in a pan.
- Boil them in water until it reduces to about one-fourth to concentrate the herbal essence.
- Strain the decoction and add jaggery while still hot; stir until it dissolves.
- Cool slightly, then blend in honey (don't boil honey, as it can become toxic according to Ayurveda!).
- Store in a clean, airtight glass jar; keep refrigerated to extend shelf-life.
Safety contraindications
- Avoid in known cases of allergy to any of the ingredients.
