Adult dose
2-4 grams, once or twice daily
Pediatric dose
Children below 5 years: 1-2 grams, once or twice a day, with honey or warm water/milk. Children between 5-12 years: 5 grams once or twice a day with honey or warm water/milk.
Preparation steps
- Obtain Vasa (Adhatoda vasica) and other necessary ingredients.
- Prepare a decoction (Kwatha) of Vasa.
- Heat the Vasa Kwatha with sugar or jaggery until it reaches a semi-solid consistency.
- Add clarified butter (Ghrita) and powdered Long pepper (Pippali).
- Mix well and cook until the mixture thickens.
- Allow to cool slightly and then add honey.
- Combine to form a homogenous mixture (Avaleha).

- Pregnancy, lactation, and severe uncontrolled diabetes.
