Preparation steps
- Collect Vasa leaves and flowers.
- Prepare a decoction (Kwatha) of Vasa.
- Make a fine paste (Kalka) of Vasa.
- Warm cow's ghee.
- Add Vasa paste and decoction to the ghee.
- Heat with mild intensity until complete evaporation of water content.
- Filter and store.
Safety contraindications
- Contraindicated in cases of chronic indigestion, IBS-D, fever, liver and spleen disorders, and during pregnancy if overweight/obese. Ghee should be avoided in diseases of the liver and spleen like liver cirrhosis, splenomegaly, hepatomegaly, hepatitis, etc.
