Key ingredients
- Vacha rhizome
- fresh juice or decoction
- Ghee . The ghee is processed 100 times (Shatapaka) with the Vacha juice or decoction.
Adult dose
5-10 ml, once or twice daily.
Pediatric dose
2.5 - 5 ml
Preparation steps
- Collection of Raw Materials: Procure Vacha (Acorus calamus) and cow ghee (Go-Ghrita) from a certified Ayurvedic pharmacy.
- Authentication: Authenticate the raw materials by experts from the Dravyaguna Department.
- Preparation of Kalka: Prepare Kalka (paste) of Vacha by triturating the finely powdered raw material with a small quantity of water until a smooth and homogeneous bolus is obtained.
- Ghee Processing: In a clean vessel, gently heat cow ghee until completely melted.
- Shatapaka Process: Process the ghee 100 times with the Vacha Kalka, following the standard Sneha Kalpana method with a ratio of 1:4:16 for Kalka, Sneha (ghee), and Drava (liquid), respectively.
- Quality Check: Ensure the ghee meets acceptable qualitative standards based on evaluated parameters.
