Preparation steps
- Selection of appropriate medicated oil or decoction based on patient's condition and dosha imbalance.
- Sterilization of equipment (catheter, syringe).
- Patient preparation: Ensure empty bladder and bowels. Cleanse the genital area with warm water or herbal solution.
- Positioning the patient comfortably.
- Gentle insertion of the catheter into the urethra or vagina/uterus.
- Slow administration of the medicated oil or decoction.
- Retention of the medicine for a few minutes.
- Removal of the catheter.
Safety contraindications
- Pregnancy, menstruation, active pelvic infections, severe urinary tract infections, vaginal bleeding of unknown cause, recent surgeries or trauma to the pelvic area, severe vaginal or cervical inflammation, bleeding disorders.
