Preparation steps
- Collect the ingredients: Trikatu (equal parts of Shunthi, Maricha, and Pippali) and Ghrita.
- Weigh the ingredients accurately.
- Prepare a fine powder of Trikatu.
- Melt the Ghrita in a clean pan on low heat.
- Add the Trikatu powder to the melted Ghrita.
- Stir continuously to ensure even distribution.
- Continue heating until the Ghrita absorbs the essence of the herbs (approx. 15-20 minutes).
- Filter the Ghrita through a clean muslin cloth to remove any solid particles.
- Allow the Ghrita to cool down completely.
- Store in an airtight container away from sunlight and moisture.
Safety contraindications
- Contraindicated in conditions with severe Pitta aggravation, bleeding disorders, or during acute fever.
