Adult dose
1-3 grams, usually at night
Pediatric dose
0.5-1 gram (Adjust based on age and weight)
Preparation steps
- Collect high-grade Operculina turpethum roots, ideally from Andhra Pradesh or Odisha.
- Ensure roots are intact, free of fungal spots, and ethically sourced.
- Soak Trivrit roots overnight.
- Decoct thrice (Triphala-pak method) to extract resin glycosides.
- Strain and reduce to syrup.
- Mix with jaggery and charcoal-filtered water.
- Add grated ginger and crushed cardamom.
- Simmer until jam consistency is achieved.
