Trikaatu is a blend of three pungent spices used to stimulate digestion, clear congestion, and balance Kapha.

Purpose

Treatment of eye disorder.

Indications

• Indigestion, low appetite, flatulence, cough, cold, rhinitis, asthma (Kapha type), obesity, sluggish metabolism, Ama conditions.

• Deepana (Appetizer)
• Pachana (Digestive)
• Kapha-hara (Reduces Kapha)
• Vata-anulomana (Moves Vata downwards)
• Ama-pachana (Digestive of metabolic toxins)

Key ingredients

• Shunthi
• Maricha
• Pippali

Adult dose

1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon (1-3 grams) once or twice daily.

Pediatric dose

250mg - 1 gram

Preparation steps

• Take equal parts of dry ginger, black pepper, and long pepper.
• Grind each ingredient separately into a fine powder.
• Mix all three powders in equal proportions.
• Store in an airtight container away from moisture.

• Pregnancy, severe hyperacidity, bleeding disorders.
