An oil formulation using white Karaveera Sprout, traditionally used for skin diseases.
Purpose
To prepare an oil formulation for external application in skin disorders and Vata imbalances.
Indications
- Skin diseases (Kushta), wounds, localized inflammation, Vata disorders affecting the skin, possibly used in certain toxic conditions externally. EXTREME CAUTION REQUIRED due to the inherent toxicity of Karaveera.

Key ingredients
- Shweta Karaveera Pallava juice
- Sesame oil
- Water
Adult dose
External application only. Apply a small amount to the affected area. DO NOT INGEST. Start with a very small test area to check for adverse reactions.
Pediatric dose
For external application as needed. Use with caution and under supervision.
Preparation steps
- Obtain fresh sprouts of white Karaveera.
- Clean the sprouts thoroughly.
- Prepare a paste (Kalka) of the Karaveera sprouts.
- Mix the Karaveera paste with a base oil (e.g., sesame oil or coconut oil).
- Heat the mixture on a low flame, stirring constantly.
- Continue heating until all moisture evaporates and only the oil remains.
- Allow the oil to cool, then strain it through a clean cloth to remove any solid particles.
- Store the oil in a clean, airtight container, away from direct sunlight.
